  • Gladstones - Special Request

    Hi All,

Just some quick advice if I may?

Am I within my rights to appeal a decision for a parking ticket which has been filed as a CCJ to which I've submitted my defence to deny a request to have a case heard on the papers alone? I wrote to this company (millennium door security) appealing the PCN but heard no more then a little over a week ago I received a letter from Northampton courts to which I've submitted my defence online. Basically they've replied stating that they believe an oral hearing would be disproportionate in terms of cost yet I feel compelled to have my say as this company for whom gladstones are acting are complete cowboys and I will now feel I have to pay or be at risk of having a CCJ on my credit file for the sake of something that this company did not reply to!

Thoughts very much appreciated and welcomed!

    Thanks you

    Re: Gladstones - Special Request

Given the usual sparse Gladstones particulars of claim, i'd suggest anyone who accepts a paperwork only hearing buys a straight jacket.
