  • Jacobs bailiffs help please

    Morning everyone

I'm having a bit of bother with Jacobs bailiffs, I owe two separate council tax claims too them, one for £1200 and one for £497 these are including of fees on each one.

I set up a payment plan with them last year when my other half was working he lost his job in December and we defaulted on the arrangement, I rang and told them and they wouldn't lower the amount, so we couldn't pay, in January they set up another as we are on receipt of esa for £20 a week they asked me to send a letter of proof of benefits which I did they then told me they wanted a newer version which I couldn't produce so they cancelled my plan in May.

They have since refused all payment plans and sent the enforcment agent round to my house, we had a knock and I went round the back and took a letter of him stating 48 hour removal notice, we tried to work with him but he wants the lower amount paying in full, which we can't afford, he then left it a week and put a notice of payment in full by 6pm letter through the door we spoke to him again he refused a payment plan of £30 a week (more than we can afford but have no choice) he then said he was transferring the debt to his removal team, we haven't heard anything in two weeks and today I get a text saying the removal team will call round to remove goods in the next 24 hours.

I'm so scared and don't know what to do, I've spent the last few months hiding upstairs with my 3 and 7 year old and being 5 months pregnant, I know this is our mess I just can't get anywhere with them

Sorry for the long post x 1
