  • PPI from ex husband

Hi I was married for 14 years , and paid a lot in to the house hold ,as he did . our money was communal money and we shared paying one another bills. Even when he had to pay CSA of 582 a month my wages was taken in to account . I divorced him on adultry , I had all the bill extra in my name and I had taken out loans for different things we needed. Which I had to go bankrupted for . he had credit cards and loans that was taken out when we were still married , and when he was sick I paid them . now he's found out that there was ppi on them and has claimed it back . when we was divorced I didn't want any finace of him no pension none of his savings nothing . because I helped pay these bills out of our comual money can I ask for half of it . and also can I ask for the money that I had to pay to keep his kids , is CSA . my children never got taken in to account .also we did try to get back together and booked a holiday, with him and his parents I paid 621 for flights . they cancelled my flights and told me I couldn't go so I lost the money. He's getting married now in august and I'm not a nasty person , his wife to be is lovely . but he has really screwed me over big time . and says I will not get a penny . is there any thing I can do to get back half of the money I think I should have . please can you advise me .

I can't see you have any legal right to the PPI. Either it is his, or if it should be split with you then it would have been an asset when you went bankrupt in which case it would go to the Official Receiver not to you.
