  • Ccj (stayed)???

Hello there Basically I would love some help please? I had a ccj claim early December by lowells and Cohen Cramer for £1282 but it's from a long time ago in 2008.

The debt was a vanquis card which I took out to pay for transport to get me to Isle of Wight for Xmas work, I didnt have a debit card at that time so sent the cash to my dad recorded delivery, he didn't pay because he had a big energy bill and didn't tell me for months later.

I submitted a statute barred Defence as I have no recollection of paying this debt since I sent cash to my dad. I sent Cohen/Cramer a statute barred letter but they said the 6 years start from the default date which is wrong as I was told its from the last action of the account. In the same letter they did say the last payment was on June 15 2009 so over 6 years. I submitted defence on 21 st Dec 2015 (with a copy of the letter) and rang the courts today and they said they haven't had anything or heard anything from Cohen Cramer/ so now it's stayed?? What does this mean? I want to fight this debt and believe Lowell put default on account in 2012 but i think vanquis defaulted it in 2009 how do I get default removed as I'd love a mortgage one day. Sorry for being a long post but I see this a great place for help. Thank you!
