  • Agent entered my flat without permission

I've rented a fairly expensive flat in Scotland for the last three months. From the minute I handed over six months rent (I'd just spent several years abroad so failed credit check), they have been rude, aggressive and ignore my calls.
I received an email this afternoon telling me (not asking) about a viewing appointment for an hour later. I'm away for a few days so I called them immediately to tell them. "Well the viewing is booked" they said. I told them that I dont give permission for them to enter when I'm not there and all I got was "we can't get hold of the viewing agent" (I know for a fact that they do their own viewings) and cut me off. When I tried to call them back, they kept putting me onto a loop answerphone message, without the function to leave a message.
When I first viewed the place it had various bits of damage and faults which they said would be fixed ASAP. I was in a hurry to move in so accepted their word. When I tried to chase them up, they denied any knowledge (even though i made a point of emailing confirmation of every detail the day I moved in). When I went into their office, they were dismissive, aggressive and patronising. Saying that when I signed up it was on an "as seen" basis, which is not true.
Now today they've just let themselves in to my place where all my stuff is, when I made it perfectly clear that I did not want them to.

A quick google of their company name (after I rented the property unfortunately) came up with a whole lot of negativity. So clearly im not their only victim.

My question is, is there a complaint process re-letting agents for Scotland? From what I can gather, the viewing without my permission is illegal.
I'm starting to worry (again) about getting my deposit and remaining rent back. They promised it wouldn't be a problem, but that was before I found out what they were like.

If you are just three months into what must be a six month lease, what's the reason for all these viewings? Is the flat on the market to be sold?
