GE Money/Santander Cards query?

I have heard rumours that some of the PPI regulations have changed recently?

I have a Debenhams credit card taken out before 2005 which was originally GE money and then changed to Santander cards.

I have tried to re claim the PPI and after a long drawn out communication trail Santander informed me GE were not regulated when I took out the card so they would not process the claim ? This was back in 2012 so they cancelled my PPI from that point and closed the claim.

but I have recently heard that the situation may have changed so wanted to know if there was any truth in this and how should I proceed?

That sounds a bit fishy to me but I am no expert on the old PPI stuff. Hopefully someone will be along soon to give expert advice but do have a look on the PPI forum as there are some excellent cases posted up there.

There are no stupid questions! And this is not one, but I have no idea who the underwriter was. Perhaps you could try sending a message to the poster di30. Use the send message facility on your member page.
