  • Tax Credits - help calculating please.

    Can anyone check this is about right (I hate tax credits calculations and this really doesn't sound right)

    BOTH WORKING
    £11,318 - 24 hours a week
    £19,818 - 40 hours a week

    2 children under 5 both in childcare @ £200 a week

    £85 a week tax credits
    +£381.11 week paid income
    +£217.65 week paid income
    less £200 childcare

    483.76 total income


    vs


    ONE WORKING/ONE STAY HOME

    £19,818- 40 hours a week

    £98 a week tax credits
    +381.11 week paid income

    £479.11 total income

    Add on Child Benefit but that's the same whichever option.
