  • Newlyn Court Action Pending

    Hi,

I am in a slight panic.

I received a PCN via a letter, on 9/7/2013 for a contravention date 27/06/13. I am the registered keeper but was not driving the car. My wife had been out shopping in a retail park and apparently over stayed the 2 hour limit by 33 minutes. The resulting charge of £60 seemed excessive considering she was a customer. I realise I should have appealed but was misinformed that ignoring was the thing to do.

However, my dilemma is that I have received my second letter dated 20/2/2014 telling court action was pending unless I payed £166. If payment has not been recieved proceedings will be initiated in the county court where a judgement may be obtained.

I am worried that I will get a visit from the bailiffs or been ordered to court.

Any advice would be really appreciated.
