  • Egg Loan

    Good Afternoon,

Just a few questions really. I had an Egg loan from 2005 which had PPI on it (Which I have just successfully claimed back) Egg loans were taken on by Citi Group then it has been sold to Arrow Global. I have been reading through the threads and I have come across a section on Unenforceable credit agreement. Now having googled this it seems from my interpretation that if a loan and PPI are added as a whole on an agreement with no separation it can make a credit unenforceable as the PPI part should be separate as its totally different to the money I borrowed is that correct or have I completely miss read and not understood it well? If I am correct then what happens to the outstanding amount and the amount I have already paid and also the PPI refund any info and help would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely love this forum learning new thing everyday.

    Thanks

    Re: Egg Loan

It could, but we'd need to see the credit agreement (redact your personal info before posting it up) to have a better idea whether it complies or not.

Example of a 2004 agreement (enforceable)

You can google Egg CCA 2005 on Google Image Search which will give you examples of other peoples agreements from around the same period.

Thanks for the above. I've had a look and I've seen 2 different types. One with it shown separate and another not. I sure it didn't but I will get a CCA off to them tomorrow first thing and see what I get back that's the only way to be 100%. I've kept a copy to show what it should look like to compare.

            Hi Louise

I have a similar problem with my egg loan - my agreement has the PPI added without any way to remove it like the one in your post above from 2003.

Now I've just heard back from Canada Square refusing to pay back the PPI - do you have any suggestions you can make? I had a pre-existing medical condition at the time - chronic asthma.

            Kind Regards

            Alan
