    My appointment card said today, the letter said yesterday, i went today and they have sanctioned me and said i am not eligible for hardship because i failed to attend, but i went to the appt on my appt card? Im pregnant and cant go without money for six weeks! What can i do?!

    No they can not sanction you for their mistake, take a copy of the appointment card and a copy of the letter to show them, telling them its their error, you went by the date on the appointment card. They can however refuse you hardship if your not available or looking for work, which i suspect is what they have saying.

    Are they aware your pregnant? as you would fall in the vulnerable person category then, and should be eligible for income support instead and they should have told you as such too - https://www.gov.uk/income-support/eligibility

      Im not elibible for income support for another 8 weeks, i will take them both in on monday, thankyou for reply.x

        Under no circumstances give them the original documents, lest they 'accidentally' get lost. Provide photocopies. Make it clear that unless they act immediately to rectify their mistake, you will make a formal complaint.

        DWP staff will lie without hesitation, so be on your guard.

          As you have found out, there are some dishonest people working for JCP who will do anything to cheat honest people out of benefits to which they are lawfully-entitled. These people give honest JCP staff a bad name and expose them to physical and verbal abuse which they do not deserve. If you have the name of the weasel who cheated you out benefits, speak to your MP and see if you can get them to give JCP a kicking and the weasel kicked onto JSA.
