  • Problems at work, Manager.

    Good Afternoon Sirs/ Madams,

New to the site, so Hello to everyone kind enough to address this post.

I have a few issues that need ironing out in regards to my contractual rights. I have a Manager at work, who seems to implement new conditions verbally into my contract as time goes on...

Firstly, The bank holiday that has just gone, she has deemed even though it has been taken off as a holiday by everyone, we're to work an extra 2No hours today to cover the hours lost from the 40 odd hour week, this is not paid - No one but myself at work questioned this, we're all teens/ young 20's - However she will not be undertaking per say.

Secondly, she has told us that our 1 hour break today is to be reduced to 45No minutes, and a pizza will be shared out (Between 9No of us?!). To which I point blank refused. I was told I was not getting in the "Team spirit of things", But I got my full break.

Are there any rights here that have been breached, I'm not concerned about who sues etc, I just want some Jargon I shove in her ugly face.

    Thank you,

    Liam.

Dunno about the pizza, though - is it an express term in your contract of employment?

      Hi Charitynjw,

Thank you for viewing my post, I'll have a read of those links.

As for the pizza, it was never an Express Term agreed to when the contract was made.

        A 'Hut' term, then?

Only joking! (Sorry, couldn't resist it!)
