OK while on hols BT sent out phone bill out, when we never received or the reminder.....
so on the 7th dec i got a termination letter, saying i had to pay by the 9th. I rang them up told them i was paying today and would we still be cut off, the advisor said even though the letter said the 9th as long as payment was showing by the 10th we wont be cut off......
Today i get a letter saying my bb service will be cut off and i will be required to pay to any outstanding charges because they are cancelling under the 12 month agreement...
YES bt cut my line off on the 13th....
Can anyone give any advice if to do i have to pay the full ammount thats left to take it up to the 12 months.....
No im not going back to bt as they now want a reconnection fee as well.....ffs its xmas and as from the 24th might not be able to get online till i get cable on the 3ish......yes shakes allready.....

    many thanks in advance....:kisself:

Mistie, I know that shakey feeling and I would suggest calling BT but I know it takes ten hours and a billion people to talk to for them to listen. I would speak with them and see if they can do a payment plan of some sort for the remainder of the contract, how long are we taking?

Do you dispute all or part of the bill

Ie, agree to line rental and call charges, but dispute the termination fee.

You need to find any details you have on the start of the contract.
ie how was it done, phone, web etc
          Any confirmations you recieved.
          When did contract start
Why you are disputing the fee.

Have a look at my case against BT, it may give you some idea of how they operate with complaints, its not quick lol

i cant believe i stumbled into this thread, i received a termination notice on 31st december dated 27th, informing me i had till 2nd january to pay or else. I paid on 3rd as it was the first day i had ££££. phoned on the 4th to see why i hadnt been reconnected to be told yes they received the payment on 3rd but as of the 4th they had terminated the contract. arseholes!!! i gave them the sob stories, explained about bank holidays etc, even wentso far as saying i had been made unemployed and had borrowed the money to pay the bill (white lie) but to no avail. so the missus is struck in the house with a 6month old baby and no phone line, needless to say i am none too popular!

And i know how you feel Mistie!
