Hi,
Have a credit card debt was paying monthly instalments then stopped around March 2010, sent letters asking for proof of claim etc. Received court papers of the 13th Sep, responded online to 'contest jurdiscation' and it selected defend claim as well.
I now what to pay what i owe via monthly instalments but i do not want to pay the bank charges and interest which comes to around £400 on top. What should i do, is it to late to change it? what letters do i need to send etc.

Intent to defend in full is flexible and not set in stone so dont worry.

Not sure why you have contested jurisdiction ?

What you sound like u want to do is admit part of the debt (ie the debt less the unfair charges) and make an offer to pay on that, and defend the charges. Start making payments of your offered amount soon as you can.

Can you type up the particulars of claim please.

What made you stop paying in March?

Estimating you have till about 12th Oct to get defence/admission offer in then ?

These are generally issued through Northampton, but once you state your intention to defend it will be moved to your local court, perhaps this is where the confusion regarding jurisdiction arose.
