  • Faulty Samsung LCD TV

    Hi all,

I purchased a Samsung 42" LCD TV at the end of June 2008, the TV has now packed in.

I have checked the fault on the internet and it seems to be a common fault with Samsung TV products, so much so that there is a class action lawsuit in the good 'ol US of A.

I did not take out an extended warranty so cannot get it repaired, I have spoken with the shop I purchased it from and they have told me to contact the manufacturer as the TV is 22 months old.

I intend to contact Samsung today but wondered what my rights are concerning this, I think it is reasonable to expect a TV to last longer than the 22 months and that they should offer to repair or replace.

    Can anyone advise me please?

    Thanks in advance.

It is reasonable to expect a TV to last longer than 22 months and that is why you need to complain to whoever you bought it from as opposed to Samsung.
