Hi there
I have to firstly admit I am a nieve consumer, I dont read terms and conditions thorough, I just presume as long as I pay and be a good girl things should be ok.
Well, with struggling a little financially and trying to be good and sensible by reducing outgoing, I have decided to sell my car and therefore cancel the insurance, if I am not using the car I don't want it insured, mind you just had a thought, that as long as I have it, I don't want it stollen and not covered I supposed, might have to re-instate the insurance anyway.
But they are trying to charge me £152.74 for apparantly insurance I have already received, however I have been paying in installments. Then on top of that, £10.07 Direct Debit interest, £27.57 Discount recovery and £50 cancellation fee. This just seems obsene to me and that basically customers are not allowed to cancel their insurance whenever they want to without incurring hurrendous charges. Are they allowed to do this?
Thanks
Nicki
