  • We didn't sign the mortgage loan agreement

    Hi ,
We have a buy-to-let mortgage with C and G - for £222 thousand commencing February 07. It seems that we never signed the mortgage loan agreement and now they have sent us one to sign. However its showing our old address and they have back-dated it by hand 24th Feb 07.

Do you think I should be signing something with the incorrect date on - and with the incorrect address on? Of course there is a space for a witness to sign, which clearly is not going to happen.

We've been paying of course and are now out of the fixed term agreement - If I refuse to sign backdated, surely they have no agreement to take the money..

The reason I have the paperwork is because we were living with my parents at the time and they have passed on the letters.

    thanks
    Waterbut.

Did you sign a mortgage deed ?

No you shouldnt be signing anything with the wrong information on. I would write to them and tell them to correct it.

The mortgage agreement is what determines your interest rate etc and the fixed term deal.

      Hi,
Yes I suspect so - they say that some of the paperwork is missing and thats all really. I'm not sure why its taken them 2 years to notice.

I think I'm just going to sit on it - and wait to see really.
I'm not going to sign with the incorrect information on regardless.

      Thanks so far

      Waterbut.
