  • LDK Security/Debt Recovery Plus - Letter Before Action

    Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you can provide me some advice moving forward with this issue I have regarding a PCN.

Background: Live in a building with parking attached, require a pass on the dash, which I have on display. It was covered by temp passes at the time (supermarkets/town parking etc) of the PCN being given. Although I feel had they looked they could have need the pass but are claiming I did not have it on view. The company that issued this originally is LDK Security and they stuck the PCN to my windscreen. I ignored further letters on advice from a friend.

I spoke with the management company for the building (CRM) about this and they confirmed would get in touch with LDK. I have an email trail saying they would cancel the PCN, which I feel was reasonable.

I then received a letter from Zenith (17/07/17) which I ignored as I was told to due to the PCN being cancelled. I got in touch and forwarded the email trail to them and they said they would get in touch with LDK to query this. They got back in touch with my and said LDK are stating its still a valid PCN.

I have been in touch with CRM about this and they are apparently not receiving a response from LDK.

I have now received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus (which I understand are Zenith) which states it is a Letter before referral for legal action.

What are my option going forward? Do I need to pay this now before it goes to courts and increases the charge/potentially affects my credit rating?

I understand that DRP did not purchase the debt as they are still referring to LDK as their creditors.
