  • Old debt and SLL Capital

I have recently been contacted by letter by SLL Capital chasing a debt to the Cash Store from 25/05/2012. When I asked for proof of the debt, they have sent me a letter saying that the cash store "sold and assigned " the debt to SLL Capital on 24/05/14 and included a copy of the credit agreement, with no date on it and illegible signatures from either party. Am I right in thinking that I should have had default letters before it was handed over to SLL and also a deed of assignment ? Also I have never had any contact from SLL before this, considering they "bought it" in April 2014 !! Any guidance as to what I do next please ?

    Hi
I am assuming the cash store was some sort of payday loan. If it was a fixed term loan I am not convinced they need to send a default notice but I may be wrong.
As for the deed of assignment well no, the only thing they need to send you is the notice of assignment but it doesn't seem to cause problems when it is late.
    Are they threatening legal action?

Did you send a formal cca request with the fee of £1.?

Maybe you would like to post up the agreement with your details removed or email it to admin@legalbeagles.info with a link to the thread

    Hope that helps for now
