      Overpayment (according to the DWP debt management team) must be repaid by either;

      Direct Debit

      Debit Card

      Cheque

      Cash at a Job Centre

      Over the Counter at HSBC

      Over the Counter at a post office (but this costs £1.50 per transaction)

        Re: Income Support overpayment repayment methods

        I'm looking for some advice- basically following a Tribunal decision after Appeal ( one year ago approx - this was for an overpayment of income support paid as incapacity benefit) DWP have now contacted me asking for the repayment. I had heard nothing from them in all this time and had actually thought I had misread the judgement and it had in fact been in my favour. Is there a time linit in which they can ask for repayments or must I comply and arrange payment programme?
