Hi , I'm writhing this on behalf of my partner ,

some time ago ( prior to me ) she was receiving tax credits , with regret she made a huge mistake ,the result being she faced a big overpayment demanded by the tax credit people , the tax office have adjusted her tax code with her wages , instead of paying £100 Per month as previously her salary is only average, Tzhe tax office are taking £350 A month which is s massive hit per month she is willing to repay what she owes but to pay 350 a month is just unmanageable, please advise if she can do anything

Repayments are normally calculated over a twelve month period, but can be extended to three years, or even ten in certain circumstances.
However if fraud was involved HMRC are less likely to agree an extension.
    See section 4 of https://revenuebenefits.org.uk/pdf/H...erpayments.pdf
Initially call the appropriate payment helpline. number should be on their documentation
