Morgan Stanley Credit card PPI

Hi i had a morgan stanley credit card around 2001-2003 paid of balance but have no paperwork with account number on when a ppi company contacted them for me they said unless i have an account number they couldn't help so i wass told that barclay card had brought them out so i wrote to get to them with adress details etc they said they couldnt find me on there system anyone help on who else i could contact to get hold of my account number??
