Had a letter today to inform me that Prestige finance where taking over my G E accounts on the 6th of November.
Has any one had any dealings with this company.

Hello Gill,

Prestige part od the One Savings Bank Group, specialist 2nd. Charge Lender, based Bushey Herts.
Well established company no problems as far as I know.

I have an ongoing complaint with ge money. I'm in the process of claiming back charges and interest from the up held mis-sale of ppi. G E have said I will have there decision by 15th of November could this transfer have any implications to my complaint?

Hi I've received the same letter from GE money to say Prestige Finance are going to take over - I'm a little worried I'm sure your letter would of said the same, it does say.....
They are responsible for the ongoing management & administration of your account which included the setting of interest rates & charges!!!

Does this mean that Prestige could just charge what % they want? Just getting a little worried now.

I hope not, on my letter it also states that the original terms and conditions will apply. So I'm hoping nothing will change. We need to keep each other updated with any info!

Have you made a complaint about any ppi mis-sell or charges added to your account, do you have a secured loan with them?

From seeing a number of these " transfers" of secured loans in the last month or so it appears that GE is dealing with PPI and
disputes already in hand before transferring loans to Prestige.

Hi sorry to jump on this post but I have just got in contact with g e money regarding PPI on a loan I had with them back in 2000/2002,they have acknowledged my complaint and said that they would respond within the 8wk deadline, I have since received a letter from them asking for proof of I'd etc...and until they rec this they will be marking the case as closed!and will open a new one once they have rec my proof of I'd.Does this now mean they will have another 8wks to deal with my complaint?and are they just using stall tactics?. any advice would be grateful,many thanks.xx
