  • confused regardig capital one default

Hi i'm new to this forum so apologise if this could be written anywhere else.

I have had a credit card with Capital one and missed 2 payments. I contacted them and got a form for direct debit sent out which i completed and returned. I also put i details of my new address i heard nothing back and assumed (probably should have double checked tho) that everything was alright. A direct payment was taken out my account on 7/1/11 but when i have checked my experian account today i have noticed that Capital one placed as a default on 14/1/11.?
I have written to them as i received no correspondence regarding default notice and the fact that how can i be marked as default when they took their direct debit out my account.

Does anyone think that i might have a case to have the default lifted from my records?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Bairnlea
