  • Default on credit report

Hi everyone, can I get some advice on a default notice which is on my credit report which I have just received. the default in question happened in Feb 2008, I have been chased for many years regarding this debt which I have never acknowledged or made any payments to it. Its been passed over the years to many DCA's who have never acknowledged my many 'prove it' letters either. My question is, is this debt stature barred now and if it is can I get it removed? Its the only negative entry on my report and its effecting my credit enormously. many thanks x
