  • Enforcement officer coming to my house on Monday!! Help!

I received a driving penalty notice a few months ago After my uncle from Australia drove my car during his visit a few months ago. This was from Harrow council. After appealing my case got refused and I had no time to get back to them due to my exam studies.

Then I received a letter from Equita, I called them up and they agreed on setting up a payment plan to divide £278 into three instalments. I agreed on paying this in the coming month.

Today I called them up intending to pay the agreed sum for this month and got told that my case had been given to an enforcement agent. After speaking to the relevant enforcement agent I have been told that he’ll be at my parents doorstep any time on Monday! This is pretty annoying considering I had agreed to settle the payment when I get paid from work.

At home I don’t personally own anything. I got into an accident which wasn’t my fault last month and my car is written off and parked at a garage. What can I do?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Methinks you should have initially contacted the council after the appeal failed and I'd still try that.
