    FFS! I just posted a thread on the above case and all of the text has gone but this one is another one that is lead by the Re A(B Child) Lady Hale comment of nothing else will do. Here is the quote in full in paragraph 198 of the A(B Child) judgement

    "198. Nevertheless, it is quite clear that the test for severing the relationship between parent and child is very strict: only in exceptional circumstances and where motivated by overriding requirements pertaining to the child's welfare, in short, where nothing else will do"

    A lot of appeals are going through the courts as a result of the above paragraph.
