  • Deceased Beneficiary of a Will

Hi. Thanks in advance for any advice.
My elderly parent died last year. I am the sole Executor of the Will and I decided to administer the Estate myself.
(No property or spouse involved just savings. Well below IHT threshold.)
Probate has been granted. I am in the process of collecting all the assets in an Executor's Account.
One of the beneficiaries died unexpectedly before my parent. He was not a residuary beneficiary rather just was left a cash gift.
He was not a direct descendent so I think the gift will have lapsed.
My problem is that the cash gift was left to both him and his wife.
    Any advice gratefully received.
    Thanks
