I have spoken to the Tribunal Court and have asked for a Statutory Declaration. I went -2 days without paying my road tax - my fault, genuine mistake. Hate not having tax discs anymore! Now pay direct debit.
I moved house, changed my V5 but letters went to old address. Received bailiff letter on Monday. I then spoke to Tribunal place and was advised to do a Statutory Declaration. Baliffs want fine paid by Thursday.
If I pay the fine will the fees be refunded when I go to court? I understand I will have a fine to pay for the 12 day road tax. Feel scared and worried, genuine mistake after owning a car for 26 years.
