  • Tribute songs: Hillsborough 1989

This year marks 20 years since the Hillsborough disaster in which 96 football fans died in the crush of Hillsborough. Needless to say The Sun did not exactly help with some of the stories it printed. Some newsagents refused to stock the paper.

Bump on this one. 20 years ago today Liverpool Supporters went to an FA Cup match with great expectancy. By the end of the day, more than 90 of them were dead and many more injured. In 20 years the families of those victims have been denied Justice for the 96 people who died as a result of what happened. RIP

Just adding a few bits and pieces. If you have cable then Virgin Media have Liverpool FC TV free all day today and will have live coverage of the Memorial Service at 14.45 today. At 8pm on the History Channel there is an hour special on the Hillsborough Disaster.
Am adding another website to this
Hope For Hillsborough - seeking justice for the survivors and families of the 15 April 1989 Hillsborough Disaster where 96 Liverpool fans were killed.

BBC NEWS | England | Merseyside | Hillsborough files may be opened

Maybe 20 years is enough to get Justice for the 96. I sincerely hope that it does.

The lad went to Hillsborough with his friend from next door.
His friend is a Liverpool fan who was actually there at the time the tragedy occurred , he said it was lovely and there were messages from proper fans from other clubs paying their respect.

The panel report is about to be released and I will see if I can put the link on here later on once that has been done. Justice has yet to be served on those who were denied it but the report justifies the families of those killed who campaigned for the truth.

I think we all know the truth in our hearts....

None of the 96 were to blame. A thought goes out to the survivors and crowd/services that tried so valliantly to help.

                              RIP 96.
