    Consultation Document - https://www.gov.uk/government/upload...n_document.pdf

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is consulting on draft advice for providers of care homes and nursing home services to the over 65s in the UK (referred to in this document as ‘care home providers’).

This is primarily in relation to the charging of fees following the death of a long-term resident, in particular:

    (a) residential fees (for care or accommodation or both) payable after the death of a self-funded or part-funded resident; and

    (b) fees payable to cover ‘shortfalls’ in any contributions which are no longer paid by the state on (or shortly after) the death of a resident.

I was not amused, they even had the cheek to ask me to do some odd jobs for them, I did not respond, luckily at the time being on my own I was on call for work building security etc as Manager and I could not get through to MOD site for relatives as step son in Germany so I rang Police control room and spoke to the duty officer who new the circumstances from call outs many a time he took over the situation and kept me informed, the nursing home did not argue with him, but later on I was advised to forget the money as could be expensive to go to court

They talk about that a fair bit in this consultation, seem to be imposing a 3 day term, and a bit about treatment of the belongings. It is mainly focused on charging, but presumably that is linked to the kick'em out quick to get a new one in policy.
