    Hi. I voluntary terminated an agreement with nothing further to pay in February however Santander have now logged a default against me wrongfully. Where do i stand now with getting this put right and who do i complain to??

      Yes, not very helpful and fobbed off with "a manager will call you back" she admitted it hadn't been closed properly.

        Ok make a formal complaint in writing ( paper not email ) to Santander and go through the complaints process stating you intend taking it to the Information commissioner and financial ombudsman if not resolved. Else you'll be playing phone tennis for ages.

        also, in the event they decide not to play ball, it might be useful to do a separate subject access request under the data protection act now ( takes 40 days) so you have all the back up docs and evidence you might need if it goes further.
