  • Are vodafone employees capable of telling the truth?

This is really unbelievable , I have been lied to - and yes i know this is a strong word, but three vodafone employees have lied blatantly to me
It is , more of a point of principle than anything else

    Lie 1
I took out a new contract, in store - Birmingham branch (Corner of New St and Corporation St) .
Although I saw in the terms the price could increase by RPI each year I was told to ignore this as it would not happen. I suppose I might have expected it to be too good to be true

    Lie 2
Spoke to someone on web team and they reassured me the price rise would not happen and as the bill was generated everything would be corrected - Did that happen, did it eckers like

Lie 3- several lies all rolled into 1
Today spoke to Mohammed Jaffar from Specialist care team who told me he could do nothing about it because the government had mandated prices MUST increase each year in line with inflation. Also told me this was the highest level of care at vodafone - that's 3 lies I see there

So I asked for a final letter which for a while he tried to get out of , he also went on about £10 SAR etc . I asked him to preserve the recording as i would need it as part of my complaint , what are the odds that gets deleted ASAP

Wanted me to agree to his resolution which was nothing

Then he told me it would now be escalated and either a new resolution would be proposed or a letter issued - so clearly he was not the highest level

It is only a small amount but it is the principle of the thing

I know sales is sales but telling lies to customers is a definite no - well looks like I will be switching to a new provider next year

Sounds like Marbles call centre staff who have not got a clue, even their CEO Office state they will look into matter then you hear no more. nearly all call centre staff say they are new, they suddenly know more than they let on, like most companies call centre are a sham, - FOBOFF Jockeys & cost you a fortune in telephone calls

Vodafone are a bit of a joke. I have their Broadband for home - which works fine - can't look at my account though as don't have a mobile phone - no signal here. Speak to them and the only reply is - must have a mobile. Thought I would get another account for a business but because their Postcode Finder does not recognise me then I don't exist - everyone elses PF says we do. Experience of their call centre shows them do be inept at best and downright liars whose only object is to get you off the phone ASAP.

Thanks for the offer Lee but this time I will pass. Unfortunately when asked it will not be a company I could ever recommend, they need to drag themselves into the 21st Century and listen to their customers.
