  • VT Faulty Vehicle

Just looking for a bit of advice on an issue with my vehicle and the best coarse of action to get a satisfactory outcome.
I have a 2012 BMW purchased used in 2015 from a BMW dealership, with BMW PCP finance and with a valid BMW Insured Warranty which I renew every year. I am currently 31 months into my 48 month PCP agreement.
Earlier this year my vehicle started alerting to a steering malfunction when starting the vehicle, and when this happened the steering would momentarily lock. The vehicle was taken in to our local BMW dealership, which isnt the dealership that sold me the vehicle, and over multiple visits has spent a total of around 9 weeks in the workshop. They have replaced various parts, including the entire steering rack, but have so far been unable to resolve the issue.
I am now getting the feeling they want to return the vehicle to me with the issue unresolved as they are unable to fix it, even after engaging BMW UK technical services.
What are my options here as I dont want to accept the return of the vehicle unless the issue is resovled, otherwise what is the purpose of the warranty?? I am a few months short of the 50% threshold for the VT and I dont really want to have to pay in a few thousand £'s to settle it because they cant fix the issue, which I feel they should be obligated to fix. I am within my mileage limits and the vehicle has no damage beyond normal wear & tear so no issues on that front.

    Any adivce would be appreciated!
