  • help with PCP please

hi, we got a car on PCP a wee while ago, we are now 48% through the payment schedule. The car has been a nightmare, lots of repairs etc, and ongoing issues so we want to get rid, and get a new car.

If I go to a dealership to get a new car, will they 'swap' over the finance? How does it work? I read some info on the Arnold Clark website which seemed to imply that I couldn't change the car until it was totally paid off, but that can't be right?

Do I need to wait until I'm at 50%? I don't think I can cope with the hassle of doing a VT, as I can't afford to have any time without a car, and there's lots going on, so really just want to take car (fixed) to a dealer, and exchange for a newer car. Do I have to declare the repairs which I have had done? The big stuff got fixed, but there are few minor niggles which I've spend lots on, but can't get rid of.

    Thank-you.
