Hi Daz539 & welcome to LB

    I'll give mystery1 a nudge.

Meanwhile it might help if you could post up the Particulars of Claim (personal data removed).

Yes, you need to enter a defence.

If you post the signs, pcn, and court claim (sanitised) i will do what i can to help.

Hi, The court claim is from minster bay watch who operate a car park behind a cinema,I work as a taxi driver and the back door to the taxi office opens onto the car park, a few days before I went to work there I drove in and parked in a parking space marked reserved for york cars thats the firm I work for believing that it would be okay as it said on the wall reserved for york cars. I never bought a ticket I never bought a ticket The stay was 46 mins. A letter was sent out to me demanding payment of £ 100.00 stating reason parking covering visit duration was not paid, Soon after another one came this time I had bought a ticket but sadly never held onto it, I think they just send them out willy nilly, as drivers have told me they had had loads of tickets but could prove that they never even went in there from computer records of taxi jobs they were on when they were supposed to be parked in the car park, complete hog wash one driver got 53 tickets and he has a permanent pass to park there, some staff have permanent passes linked to there registrations as the company pays for 3 park spaced from landlord, but they still get numerous tickets, Car park is auto camera.

Wrote to them explaining circumstances reply came back rejected. Various letters and demands followed now have court letter from northampton bulk centre. I have filled acknowledgement and stated I wish to defend, can anyone please tell me do I need to fill defence form out and post it or send form with separate letter, how does the court decide if there is a car to answer, will I get another court date and will it be in my home town of york as car park is in york so are minster bay watch offices, any help on wording of defence would be appreciated.

The defence can be emailed. The court will, eventually, hear both sides and decide who is legally correct. The case will be allocated to your local court.

The defence depends on what the court claims says and also the signs and PCN. If you let me see them (minus name and address etc) then i can suggest something for you.
