  • I have a parking fine from Smart Parking, is it worth appealing?

    Hi

I got a parking fine through the post yesterday for over staying in an Asda car park. Before I pay up I was wondering if it was worth appealing. I have attached a copy of the letter I received.

    Thank you.

Speak to the manager of the store.

It is worth an appeal if the manager doesn't help. The odds are in your favour but popla is becoming slightly unreliable so it's not 100% guaranteed. (the charge goes up to £100 if you go to popla and lose)

I don't know if this will help, but if you are advized to go to POPLA. They are a complete waste of time. I had a fine , I had a really good reason. I had stayed 18 min in a 30 min Free Park. They still refused my appeal. So don't go thinking they are independent or non bias.
