• Smart Parking @ Sports Direct Darlington

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me with an appeal to a Smart Parking Fine at Sports Direct in Darlington.

They have a picture of my car entering the car park at 13:05 and leaving at 13:23. Proir to this visit to Sports Direct there was a parking attendant there everytime and if you were actually parking to go into Sports Direct he would let you go in as long as you "hurried up".

However this time there was a Sports Direct employee stood outside and he said we had 20 minutes to go in and out of the shop before the new cameras take photos. I literally went in bought my son some football boots and came back out. As you can see it took me 18 minutes. Under the 20 I was told. Had I not been told that I'd of bought a ticket as I always do if I'm using the car park to actually go into the town shopping.

Can anyone help me with what to say in an appeal and can I do it on line?

    Thanks

    Craig

Do you get the cost of your ticket back if you take it to the SD till?? Can you maybe go back and take photos etc... so mystery1 has something to work with?

Not that I know of, it's basically spoken word either by a parking attendant or Sports Direct employee. I'd of kept my reciept for the footy boots if I knew this was going to happen.

Can they actual enforce these tickets with proper ballifs like the council can?

The reason for the ticket is "overstayed parking time"

            Cheered, yeah through the post.

I've took a picture of the main text on my phone. How do I attach it to my post?

                  Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals process. The driver did not see any signs, did not pay for parking at all and was a genuine customer. I note your notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed when compared to PoFA 2012 schedule 4 para 9 in several aspects. You should contact the driver whom i am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not do so.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

                  Yours etc

If popla is need let me know.
