    Re: Holiday Inn Luton Airport

This is currently the subject of two incidents on pepipoo. Current status is it looks like the road leading up to the barriers is not part of the Holiday Inn lease and still part of the airport roads and subject to RTA regulations. PE are acting without authority.

Here's the main thread of action

What if he did enter the car park?

What if you were catching a flight the next day and you were just making an enquiry as to the cost of a room for the night?? You might have had a cheaper quote from the hotel next door and decided to take your custom to them?

What if you only wanted to use their dining room for a meal??

            Re: Holiday Inn Luton Airport

I would expect there to be security cameras covering the car park these would prove the OP never parked up.

                Re: Holiday Inn Luton Airport

The PCN pictures in the forum I referenced show that the ANPR cameras are pointing away from the hotel, covering the entrance and exit, sort of visible in the PCN in this forum. This is also evident on the google maps street view pictures. The ANPR cameras would seem to be set pointing to public highway, ie not land leased by Holiday Inn.

According to the BIG RED sign on the fence ... it seems the bit of road before the barriers belongs to the airport not Holiday Inn (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.87...DoTF69EmiA!2e0)

ok thanks , just need to know how what to formulate in appeal. The notice of back of PCN says only appeals by writing accepted yet further down it
                    online appeal address .

                        Re: Holiday Inn Luton Airport

You could write to them and ask them what authority they have to make charges for this portion of the road that belongs to Luton Airport and show any evidence that you were parked in land leased by Holiday Inn

Having been there many times in the last two years as far as I have always understood the piece of road is part of the airport approach road, various regulations are applied to access/egress roads at airports in the UK and are I believe some what more punitive than the RTA and other regs.

                              Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals process. The driver did not see any signs and did not enter the car park as claimed . I note your notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed when compared to PoFA 2012 schedule 4 para 9 in several aspects including that the land upon which the vehicle was situated is subject to byelaws.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

                              Yours etc

If popla is need let me know.

                              M1
