    Hi I today received a charge notice at Newcastle airport, the driver didn't actually park the car, theyI dropped someone off at the entrance to the Hilton car park barrier, reversed away from barrier and left, ticket says 6.3 parking in prohibited area, help please

    Rewrite your post so that the driver is not identified. Use "the driver........"etc

    This is a honeypot for the company, many tickets are issued there. Have a search for the other cases. Have a look at other case at Newcastle Airport both on this site and PepiPoo forum

    Write back to them as the keeper stating that there can be no liability for the keeper as the land is subject to byelaws and also Road Traffic Enforcement. Only the driver at the time can be held liable and you have no legal responsibility to identify the driver.

    Post up the notice, redacting personal and identifying details.

    The signs are prohibiting signs, there is no offer of parking and therefore there can be no contract to park and therefore no breach of the contract. It is perverse to state that something is permitted that is prohibited. There are no double red lines nor hatchings in the entrance area therefore what defines the prohibited area?
