Re: Received particulars of claim from Civil Enforcement limited

@charitynjwThank you for all your help i have seen a few of the other threads regarding CEL but i have been away the last couple of weeks. I had done everything you mentioned regarding getting the defense in on time and via recorded delivery, i also contacted the court a few days after to ensure the defense had been received and logged.
As far as i understood it is now in the hands of the CEL to come back to the courts or me and i believe they have 31 days from the court communication to them to do so!?

I have now received a letter which i have emailed to @Katito see if she could kindly attach it to this thread as i don't really understand it and i was hoping you could cast your eye over it and give me some advice how best to respond/proceed?

I look forward to your response

    Regards
    Mark

            Cheers @Kati

            It's a standard Directions Questionnaire.
Are you intending to go to the hearing? (If it ever gets that far.)
& if so, will it be just you, or do you have other witnesses giving evidence?

              @charitynjw

Ah right ok, so il just fill it in and send it back to them?
I presumed i needed to attend if it gets to that stage??
the only other witness is my girlfriend who would be willing to go but would she be any use as a witness with her being my partner?

As you have seen quite a few cases with CEL getting to this stage, can you tell me what i can expect to happen next? And also is it worth me calling the court to see if they have received any further response from CEL?

Re: Received particulars of claim from Civil Enforcement limited

If you've received the DQ from the court, CEL will have indicated that they wish to proceed.

Nothing too unusual about that; they've already paid the initial issue fee so there's nothing more to pay until/unless it gets to the allocation stage (down the line a bit).

Re witnesses, unless your GF is going to appear in support of your defence, there will only be 1 witness; you.

                Nominate your local court.

I always tick 'yes' for mediation....courts like to see that parties are willing to participate in out-of-court negotiation.

File 1 copy at court, send a copy to CEL (get proof of posting), keep a copy for yourself.

                      Following with interest.

I would doubt that the case is suitable for mediation, but keep us updated either way.

& Happy New Year to you.
