V5C Address Change Oversight

Hi All,
My wife took a loan agreement out to buy a Mini. Feb last year the agreement came to an end and she paid the residual amount to own the vehicle outright. The Dealer filled in the V5C registration of ownership change and gave her the remaining section of the form. The problem is, the dealer had our old address on file and used this. Consequently, she did not receive the log book. Only now did we realise (or remember) about this... We obviously want to avoid a heavy fine! Any advice would be gratefully received...

Firstly, can you go to your previous address and get the letter that will contain your log book?

If not, then just ring up the DVLA and they will advise you what to do. They will probably be a £25 charge to replace the log book.
