  • Voluntarily Termination query with MoneyBarn

    Hi.

In October 2016 I started a 60month HP finance agreement for my car with moneybarn.

My peraonal finances have changed dramatically and I'm really struggling with the £229.56 monthly payments. I am trying hard not to miss any but am close to not being able to make the payments ... I have two children, (13&10) to feed as priority over a car.

I'm confused how best to deal with my situation without living in fear of bailiffs visiting or going to prison!?

The "Termination: your rights" section states I am entitled to return the goods and half amount payable £6772.02 and will not have to pay any more... However so far I have only paid £4361.56.

The section, "Repossession:Your rights" states if I do not keep my side of the agreement but have paid a third £4514.68, they may not take back the goods against my wishes unless they get a court order. If they do take the goods back without my consent or court order I havr the right to get back any money that I have paid under this agreement.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards
    G.
