    The levy gives them possession of it, if valid. In order to take possession of something so mobile, they often clamp.

      usually it would say MR AND MRS SMITH,but its solely in my name.
      So if the order is solely in my name regardless,wether my wife lives with me they cannot clamp HER car,but before they clamp the car surly they have to levey on it.Thanks

        Is it true that you don't have to pay bailiff fee if they don't recover the all the debt,

        If you owe them say £200 and the council £300 and that is £500,if the bailiff don't recover the £500,which is there fees and the original debt,and say the debt is passed back to the council,do you still have to pay the £200 bailiff fee to the council if though the bailiff haven't recovered the full debt.

        Basically the bailiff have a job to recover monies owed if they don't recover the all the debt should they still get paid for there visits.
