  • What clases as fixtues and fittings in garden

    Hay guys/gals.

I am currently leaving my rented property but I have a question in regards to the garden.

A few years ago, the back fence was rotting away, so I screwed some wood to hold it in place with one strip going left to right holding the main beam and about 8 wider but shorter pieces going diagonal supporting the existing runs. I have since painted the fence (about a year ago) which if I remove the pieces, then it would be noticeable.

The question being, as I am moving and as the LL has said for me to fix the fence, can I take this 'extra' wood or not?

    TIA guys!

The Landlord has asked you to fix the fence before you leave, so you will be removing your temp fix in any case? ( And also if the back fence was rotting, didn't you ask your landlord to fix it at the time ? )

The LL asked me to fix it about 2 years ago. I did ask him to replace it but it 'wasn't worthwhile replacing it, just patch it up'. I didn't want to just patch it up as I use wood to make vegetable planters.
