  • Can i take legal action against bank ? Pl advise.

    hi all,

I am re-posting this in this section in order to get an urgent and helpful advice. Bank sent some money to an account without my permission. I tried to recover from bank as it was their mistake but couldnt as bank not willing to deal with this. So I have complained to the Financial Ombudsman and am waiting for response.Â*

If FO not able to help me, CAN I TAKE BANK TO COURT to get my money ? Can I use Money Claim Online to send notice to the Bank ?Â*

I will be thankful to all who advise me..

I thinks we need more information!

Your Bank (which one?) debited your account (what type of account) with an amount (roughly how much) which they credited to another account (yours or someone elses) in the same bank or another bank?
Did you have a standing order or direct debit authorised on your account in favour of this other account?
Was there any previous connection between your account and this other account?

Why do you think there was a mistake by the bank?
Have the bank said why they will not deal with it?
Can you post up a copy of your complaint (suitably redacted) to FoS?
