  • Shared residency order issues

We have a shared residency order of my three year old son. M,y partner moved out in November 2014. She went back to her mothers where she was sleeping on the sofa. Initially she wanted to have him there but due to voilence in the family home brought him back. There is never any food in the home or heating. I was allowing her to stay at my house to see him because we agreed it wasn't safe for him there. Now she has a new car and we haven't got an agreement in place over visitation and she now demands to see him all the time, that I pay her petrol cost, or put her and her friends and family up to see him. Now she has taken him to her family home but she is working all week and refusing to bring him home. I don't know what to do, I called social services last night, no help at all. My intention is to go there today and collect him. She hasn't paid a penny for him since she left in November. this hasn't bothered me really because together, we are doing ok.

What at should my plan be? I feel it's time to have sole custody for his sake so he knows where he stands and is safe.

Did you explain to social services your concerns (lack of food/heating and violence)? They should at least look into your accusations and make sure your son is safe and well
