  • Help with leaving a company

Hi All I need some advice please, I worked for a big retail company as an assistant store manager. I had lots of issues within the company ie bulling in the work place.*
I put in a grievance to the area manager about the situation, I was told that they would follow procedure and try and resolve my issues within the 3mth guild line. After continuing to work in a very strained atmosphere for 4 mths my grieve ncs was not dealt with. I had to keep pestering HR to do something. Finally an interview/meeting was arranged, however this was not ok with me as they gave me less than a days notice and I was unable to get representation at such short notice. So I declined this apt and asked for another date which suited everyone. HR told me I was well within my rights to do so and that another date would be arranged.
The next morning the area manager and a manager from another store turned up and said that they were here to speak to me about my grievance. I explained that I had cancelled this apt as I was unable to get a union rep at such short notice. They were not happy they accused me of wasting their time and that surely I didn't need any one with me and if I did I could ask staff from my store to sit in with me (these people being the people my grievance was about) so as you can imagine I declined. After about an hour of them pecking away at me I agreed to go ahead with meeting. This took place firstly in a communal office they we progressed into the ladies changing room !!!
The meeting took place from approx 10am until 730pm !
I was told not to take notes of meeting as it would slow the whole process down and that the minutes of the meeting would be typed up and sent to me.
I continued to go to work even though the bullying was getting worse each day. Roughly a month later I had a major panic attack before going into the store, I was a complete mess and I just couldn't face another day in that environment so I called my area manager and explained how this was having a huge impact on my health and could I possibly be transferred to another store ( I was willing to give up my position and be demoted if it meant being away from the people causing the problems) I was told that there want anywhere else the could send me so to go home.
I saw my GP who signed me off work with stress anxiety and depression. I spoke to a rep at the gmb for help- they were shocking. No help given at all, the only advice I was given was try and sit it out if I made it to my 2 yr aniversary then at least I would accrue holiday pay and of the wanted to get rid of me they would have to pay me off basically.
They finally responded to my grieve ncs after 14 mths which basically said you said this we asked @@@ they said this . We believe them , on every point raised although I had proof to back up my claims.
Anyway I made it to my anniversary date , I am not willing to resign after what they have put me through and decided to call payroll and ask for wage slips which are never sent to me and to ask for any accrued holiday to be paid to me (really I just wanted to make them aware I am still here and need dealing with ). I was told by payroll that their systems say my employment has been terminated 4 mths ago.
I asked for an explanation only they said they did not know why and they would have to look into it and come back to me. I said that if my employment had been terminated they why was not informed and most importantly where was my P45. Again they had no answers and I am 3 days in waiting for a reply .*
Any help and advice on how I can resolve this would be greatly appreciated.*
I am not going to lie , I have had the worst experience of my life with this company and dont think it's fair the way I have been treated.
