    my boss put me on a 3 day week about six months ago because work was quiet. coming up to christmas we are busy. the boss said he is in too often so wants to hire someone else i eplained that i would go to five day week again to take up the load. He told me I WAS TOO DEAR too pay for 5!!! now he is taking on this other person and expects me to train them, this is a fairly small business and ive been with him 10 years he dosnt want to pay me redundancy

    I don't know the ins and outs of Employment Law I'm afraid. However, until someone comes along, you could do far worse than make a phone call to ACAS (LINK) to find out where you stand legally. :beagle:

      Are you a member of a union by any chance? if not,then do so as soon as possible.
      That's all I know about Employment Law but I'm sure one of our more knowledgeable bods will pop by soon
