  • second set aside after the first failed

I had not fully prepared my witness statement and I didn't submit a draft order or defence .
I was hoping to get to the set aside hearing but could not make it due to snow drifts ,being in a different county and no public transport.
the Judge said I had no reasonable prospect of successfully defending the Claim. I really disagree and I believe the debt to be statute barred now so I would like to add that to my defence , I don't recognise the claim and I was served with papers at a previous address .

    can anyone help !?

You say the debt is statute barred now - was it statute barred when the original claim was issued?
What was the claim for ?

Hopefully Diana M can give more help
