  • Lowell Court Claim

Just got in from work to find a letter from the County Court Business Centre. It's a claim from Lowell for a defaulted Credit Card back in 2012 (when they bought the debt from Vanquis). I have just checked my Credit Report and it states the default expires on the 31st of January 2018. I'm guessing they are being mutts and throwing in a claim for a CCJ when the 6 years is almost up!

Is there any way to either ignore this or anything to delay it so the 6 years on default passes?

    Appreciate any good advice.

The default sum is £1700 and although not a great excuse but it was defaulted when I separated from my partner and basically on my backside!

    Thanks in advance.
